While getting ready for church this morning Jared made an odd observation. I had just finished doing Emma’s hair and she was asking him how she looked. As Jared was talking to her and telling her how beautiful she looked Joseph and Benjamin came to join us in the bathroom. All three of them started talking at once, speeding up or increasing in volume and pitch to be heard above the other.
Jared simply looked over to me and announced, “Who knew we were raising a bunch of squirrels?”
Seriously! Why can’t children just wait 5, maybe 10 seconds at most, for the other person to finish talking? It’s some kind of competition to see who can have their questions or comments acknowledged first.
