Tonight was a blast! We had Grandma and Grandpa Johnson, Matt, Tori, Kaleb, Ethan, Megan, and Julia all over for dinner before we went out in search of some sweet treats. The kids did their trick-or-treating at my parents’ place earlier in the week ’cause we knew they were going to be gone taking their annual Disneyland trip.
Grandma and Grandpa came to see all the grandkids in their costumes and to deliver the kids Halloween treats. I was soooo happy when I saw that it wasn’t candy! She got the kids the “If you give a Moose a Muffin” book and then she added four oversized muffins. I would take twenty of those muffins over all the crap (yes, that is the technical term 🙂 ) that they got tonight.
It was really nice to be able to spend time with family. Even thought Grandma and Grandpa left before we went out trick-or-treating, everyone else went with us. Even Megan, who had no intention of giving little Julia any candy, came with us. It was nice to be able to talk and let the kids do their business. I have to say that this Halloween was quite enjoyable.
Emma came up with a very inventive way of using candy corn!
We hope you all had an exciting but safe holiday!
