Gingerbread Cookies

We had the missionaries over for dinner tonight.  They came over a little earlier than dinner time to help Jared hang the Christmas lights.  It was really nice to be able to get all that done and out of the way.

We had a nice, warm dinner of chicken noodle soup!  After we cleaned everything up and had a little lesson from them, we pulled out the gingerbread mix and started making cookies!

I love the smell of gingerbread during the holidays!  It smells so wonderful and brings a different atmosphere to whatever you’re doing.

One of our missionaries is from Brazil and this would have been his first time making gingerbread.  Once we went through most of the dough and had cut out our little men/ women, they began getting a little creative with the leftover dough.  At one point there were dough balls being chucked around the kitchen and squashed into the tile 🙂 .  They were having a good time and that’s all that matters!
