Tonight was a much needed girl’s night out! The Relief Society has been trying to organize something for a while, so it was nice when they were able to do something.
Of course, there were all kinds of yummy food! What would a party be without food!
They had the garage all set up for air hockey, fooseball and pool. There was a sauna, the jacuzzi was all heated up, and there was a fire going in the backyard for smores!
A really fun activity they had was quilting! They set up the racks before most of the women got there and women just came over sporadically over the course of the evening and helped tie it.
There was a station for manicures, pedicures, paraffin wax, and a bunch of other girly things! We even had a mini seminar from a masage therapist on different things we can do to help relieve stress and promote good health.
It was great to socialize with all these great women. It was so nice to get out and have some adult conversation. Not that talking with Jared wouldn’t have been good, but it’s just something about gabbing with women just makes you feel better.
We have had so many new women move into the ward that we decided to play a few games to get to know everyone a little better. It ended up being a great idea because I ended up learning new things about some of the women that I have known for the last year and a half.
