Physical Therapy

Today we worked on strengthening and walking.  The PT was so thrilled that Jacob walked from the front door all the way to the family room in the back of the house.  She noticed that he was in a good mood and very eager to work.

We practiced squatting down to pick up a puzzle piece, then stepping on/off of a stool and placing the puzzle piece into the correct puzzle slot.  We needed to hold down the left leg to make him step up with the right and then hold his left leg when he goes to step down so that he is leading with the right leg and strengthening.

Jacob is now able to bend down to pick up on objects from the floor and return to standing without loosing his balance and without lowering himself completely to the floor.
