Megan’s “Sprinkle”

Megan’s pregnant with another girl!  I know all too well that when you’re pregnant with another child of the same-sex you feel like you don’t need a baby shower.  But we Johnsons and Combs don’t get that many girls to come into the family, so I jumped at the chance to throw little Ava a party.

Baby smiles and giggles galore,

Megan Johnson is having one more.

Big sister Julia has plenty to share,

This is only a “sprinkle” to show that we care.

So get daddy ready or schedule a sitter

and come join us for some wonderful dinner
(or just dessert)

Just remember that gifts are not necessary… just the company of great friends and neighbors!

 

It ended up being more of a Girl’s Night Out at BJ’s restaurant, but it was a place Megan loves and they had great service.  They let us bring in balloons, presents, little favor boxes as Thank Yous to the guests that came, and they made sure that we were happy with everything (while not pestering at the same time).  And did I mention that their Oreo Pizookie is TO-DIE-FOR!!!  I made sure there was nothing left of that amazing dessert before I left 🙂

   

It was good for her to get out of the house.  Mike stayed home to watch Julia which was awesome!  It was a good group of women, large enough to make her feel loved but not too large to where people could follow a conversation and if made it feel a little more intimate.

I got to meet some great women and hear some amazing stories!  I was so grateful that they came to support Megan as she becomes a mother to two beautiful little girls.
