Physical Stair Strengthening

Jacob is now kicking a ball to a target fairly well.

He practiced his wheelbarrow walking across the room then walked up 2 steps without holding the wall.  We had to cue him several times to lead with his right leg so that we can try to strengthen his left thigh.  He’s still hyperextending his left leg a bit and so by strengthening the upper thigh of that leg it will help keep his leg tighter.

After he did that he would walk back down one step and jump down the second step.  He’s not getting much air but he’s at least attempting the move.

He was so tired after Kristen but that’s always the case at the end of physical therapy.  At least with the other therapies he is splitting his time between physical and mental.  Oh well, it means a good nap today!
