They changed things from last year from being inside and out to being strictly outside. I have a feeling that the building gets too messy during an activity like this. Either way, it worked. They had a cake, mini golfing, other games, and “walking dead tacos” for dinner. For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, it was an open bag of Fritos chips, a scoop of chilli inside the bag, and any toppings that you might want to add like cheese. Stick a spoon in it and you’re able to walk around the parking lot with your dinner. Even though you could technically walk around I still had the kids sit on the curb while they ate. Even then, we had chilli everywhere! At least the kids had fun and I have a few days to wash their costumes before they need them again.
It was so much fun to go car to car and see the fun things that people did to decorate their cars. I had a few favorites!
The Smith family transformed their car into a winter wonderland and their whole family were Whos from Whoville! Isn’t that great!?! The girls had different shaped pieces of foam in their hair to help hold the shape! Ingenious!!!
The bishop and his family came as the cast of Harry Potter! You had Dumbledore and McGonagall, Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Draco, and little Dobby!!!
The Thoming family was a family of Angry Birds!!!
I love it when the dads get involved in Halloween. Maybe someday the kids will bug Jared enough to do something with them!
